Have you ever wondered why you need to do 10 000 steps a day?

It’s harder to achieve than you think for the normal sedentary person as 10 000 steps is the equivalent to walking or running 8 km, you need to change your lifestyle to achieve this regularly.  Way to Wellness Bootcamps can help you to achieve that target, we regularly achieve 5 000 steps (4 km) as session in just one hour. But why 10 000 steps ? Recent studies suggest that it should be enough to reduce your risk for disease and help you lead a longer, healthier life. The benefits are many including lower weight, reduced waist size, increased energy, and less risk for Type II diabetes and heart disease. It originally came from the launch of a Japanese pedometer that called itself “10,000 steps”. It was then adopted by walking groups in Japan and more recently the Surgeon General of the US has added to the fitness targets to achieve.
